Glen,

Thanks for the info. Soundview's predictive powers must really be awesome for them to feel that they needed to take Intel's 1998 estimate down by three tenths of one percent!!

That's what I call one hell of a crystal ball! Must be Intel Inside <ggg>.

Glenn - Re: " SOUNDVIEW FINL decreased estimate for fiscal year ending
12/98 from $3.20 to $3.19 on 07/15/98 "

Now that is some fine tuning - a penny down!

Paul

What rubbish!! These people are not competent to estimate earnings for the current quarter let alone the year. Whenever projecting earnings brokerages should be required by the SEC to post their estimating history for the past two or three years (estimate vs actual).

Wow. A whole penny. They shouldn't have.

So is Soundview now trying to tell us they have that precise of a handle on what the rest of the year is going to be like for Intel? Somehow, I doubt even INTC's CFO would be that bold.

Gee, maybe Soundview can also tell me which horse is going to win the 7th race at Tampico on Sept. 23. Give me a break.
