Asian flu is now Asian cancer. It won't return to normal any time soon. The facts that several big semis is going for copper processing and 1GB memories may not help AMAT as someone expected. Actually, the quicker the copper/1GB tech hits markets, the less the orders AMAT will get. The competitions will force more small to middle sized semis to close, especially those Asian semis, such as those in Korea and Taiwan. Actually the best time for AMAT is the high tech improvements slow down. In other words, most of semis catch up to update their equipments while those big sector leading companies is going into next tech improving cycle. Next quarter's forecast from the company will show the direction of the stock. If no additional warnings come out with the earning release, the stock will go north, otherwise it will keep going south to touch middle teens.
