Sorry, I had to break the silence...But, THERE IS NO AGREEMENT! Read my earlier post that I sent out Privately that someone posted anyway. Several fellow subcribers had expressed to me that they had connections in BELIZE and would report all findings ASAP(Well, that was 2 wks ago and no report??) Nevertheless, on June 11th PRWT Stated "PanAmerican/Purewater (NASDAQ: PRWT) announced the start of their first major subdivision in Belize. The slab foundations are being poured this month and model homes will be ready for the September inauguration. During the month of September,Belizeans celebrate their independence." THIS IS NOT TRUE Also, it was stated "PanAmerican BanCorp Secures Belize Arrangement Business Wire - July 08, 1998 16:16 NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 8, 1998--PanAmerican BanCorp (PRWT).....The government of Belize has backed the program and investors have committed to fund $10,000,000 in mortgages monthly beginning immediately......" THIS ALSO, IS NOT TRUE ____________________________________________________________________________________ What does appear to be true is the following: PRESS RELEASE The Belize Information Service It has come to the notice of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Housing that a certain foreign company by the name of 'PAN AMERICAN BAN CORPORATION' is advertising on the internet that it is in the process of conducting mortgage banking in Belize through its wholly-owned subsidiary "Affordable Housing Group Ltd". A press release from the company further states that it has already received some six thousand mortgage applications from Belizean citizens and that the Government of Belize has guaranteed these mortgages. The Ministry of Home Affairs and Housing wishes to inform the public that the Government of Belize is in no way associated with this company nor has it given the company any mortgage guarantees. While the Government of Belize welcomes foreign investment, it will give its official approval to an investment project only after it has satisfied itself of the viability and genuineness of the project. The Ministry is not aware of any mortgage applications being processed by this company nor of any licence having been issued to the company by the Central Bank of Belize to conduct mortgage banking. Members of the public are therefore advised to exercise due prudence and diligence before making any investment with this company. ______________________________________________________________________________________ In my summary, there is only ONE Country called BELIZE and only one government there running it. I asked a thousand different ways to see If it was possible for PRWT to have a vested interest in properties there without the Housing Secretary not knowing about it...and from Three different officials, one reply "NO" >I spent 40 min on the phone with the chief of information -Mr. Selwyn >King and other officials in >the Belize Govt.,Mr. King outlined for me parlimentary procedures for >Belize, and there is NO WAY PRWT could have an agreement. > >The U.S. Ambassador is Carolyn Curil >Housing Sec.
