The article seemed negative. I was especially surprised by the line that Osicom promises to return to profitability this year. Most companies avoid such forward-looking statements, which can lead to lawsuits if they don't come true.

Osicom is doing the reverse split so the company can upgrade its listing on the Nasdaq market to the top-tier National Market from the lower-rung Small-Cap Market.

I wonder where the writer obtained this information? Osicom has refused to comment on the NASD NMS issue for the past several quarters, and there was no mention made of this or any other motive in the announcement of the reverse split.

It's also an attempt to attract institutional shareholders that shy away from buying penny stocks, which these days are classified as those selling for less than $5 a share.

Again, is this speculation on the part of the writer, or did someone tell him this? As others have pointed out, institutions are thrilled by companies that do reverse splits and that trade with the "D" letter.

6 1/8 is a new 52 week low. You can't blame the short sellers today either. FIBRD is not borrowable at both of my brokers. I would have shorted at the bell had I had the opportunity. Perhaps it will be available Moday, if the price can hold above 5.

It is most interesting that Par couldn't come up with the money to meet the margin call last year, but has $1 million laying around now that the price is much lower.

"Osicom is doing the reverse split so the company can upgrade its
listing on the Nasdaq market to the top-tier National Market from
the lower-rung Small-Cap Market."

If this is the main reason for rushing 3 to 1 reverse-split, does
this mean that NMS is now doable and being targeted before the EN's
IPO SEC filing. Seeing the effect of reverse-split on the stock
price over last week : better be worth-it!!!

Any comment on the possible timing of it? As well, does this mean
other objections/issues are already cleared for the NMS listing...
that had been inhibiting such to happen when the stock itself
was above $5 last year?

Any rational insight?
