Yeah, MSFT has been cranking! I don't own any and keep looking for that elusive entry point which apparently will never come. Guess I'll have to be happy with my CSCO.

As for LU as a competitor the answer is yes! We are running head long into data/voice convergence. Eventually (not too far away) you'll get all your communications (voice, data, video) over a single delivery medium - twisted pair from the RBOC's or coax from the cable co's. Of course most businesses do this today with fixed (leased lines) and use VPN's for remote users...well they're begining to. So, in order to capatilize on this data/voice convergence LU will look to add data expertise while CSCO will look to add voice capability - in effect encroching on one anothers markets. This is what many continue to refer to as the upcoming "clash of the titans". In reality both will succeed since the market is huge.
