Someone on Yahoo is saying that the analyst McGowan raised his FY '98 estimates and gave a buy recommendation. I haven't been able to confirm this myself - has anyone else heard anything? If true, it doesn't seem to have had much effect.

I have a gut feeling that the next support level will be around $25. That would generally be equal to the drop % after Q4 and 1. Until we get reasonable institutional ownership, I expect we'll continue to see these corrections after earnings, regardless of the eps numbers and future outlook.

I'm amazed that we've dropped below the high of Q1 earnings, even with the split announcement. Let's all hope we don't have to wait for Q3 to move up once again.

Suggested contest:

a. Date of cyclical low after July 23rd earnings announcement
b. The low
c. Date of next high
d. The high

My guesses
a = Tuesday August 11
b = $25
c = Tuesday August 25
d = $27 post split = $40 presplit

Score is as follows two points for getting a or c correct, three points for getting b or d correct. Correct means closest answer. Maximum score is 10.

What do you think of this contest?
