Peter, it is the ease of switching and low barrier to entry that limits the growth of NTBK. If successful, one or more big banks will enter and dominate.

Peter, the affinity group approach probably has some merit, though I'd bet there's already a bank catering to the particular group you mentioned. Actually, as you may already know, small community banks are still popping up all over the country. Frequently started by bankers merged out of a job (with support from a few prominent local business people), they start very small and many intend to stay that way. If you get involved with one of these "de novo" banks, they could go through M&I or Fiserv to get set up and operate on the Web.
