Mr Dao,
my entry point on Dell was horrendous. biggest trade of a lifetime and blew it on a Gary Hart magnitude.bought tuesday. nothing much happening. then some dumb congressperson asks greenspan about a correction. Senator must have shorted the market. my experience trading options on this stock tell me that im in real trouble. hope stock gets to maybe $115 so i escape with only one ulcer. this is a great option/stock to trade. it can be a no brainer. this is not that time.

Rather than shorting stocks directly, I would suggest you to buy puts.
Yes, your potential gain will be reduced by the amount of paid premium, but it is good price to pay for the protection from UNLIMITED loss. This is particularly true when dealing with hype stocks such as AMZN or AOL because their prices can defy the laws of gravity and of common sense. Just imagine what would happen to your short position (and to you) if on Monday AMZN goes to $500. You say it is impossible? Well, it is no more irrational than it's current valuation.
