OFF TOPIC But should read..

msnbc.com

There is a Virus called CIH that infects Windows 95 machines. If the DATE on your PC is set for the 26th of the month, It writes trash all over your hard disk and you have to re-format your hard disk to use it again but you loose all your data.
But what is worse is, on SOME systems, it can erase the flash-bios used to boot the system making the systems paper weights. This only happens in a very small number of cases. The only way to fix it is to take the flash bios chip OUT of the computer and send it to the manufacturer to be reprogrammed unless you have a EEprom burner. On mother boards that has this soldered into the mother board the entire mother board has ot be sent back.

You can run a virus scanner utility from almost anyone and scan your system to see if you have the virus..

download the scanner and unzip it to a directory and scan your sntire system to see if finds anything.
