We are seeing the early signs that a bottom is near. What are they? The most adamant 'bulls' on this thread have capitulated ! The fund managers including hedge funds have capitulated ! There is no significant selling by insiders in the stocks I am following in this sector! In fact, several company's have announced stock buyback programs (i.e. FGII, DO, RDC}. The consensus of opinion is that these stocks are headed lower because oil prices are headed lower! My only concern is that I think there is a real possibility that there will be a worldwide recession beginning next year which will not only result in a severe correction in the U.S. stock market but will also lower the demand for oil which will act as a depressant for oil prices and therefore stock prices in this sector.
