Maybe they are "confident" that it wont go under 1 the next 3 days
and/or they think they have something real to say early next week.

Now that's the best question I've heard yet.

According to the rules if they violated the "30 days below $1 close" requirement
(which is apparently based on days, not trading days)
they have a 90 day grace period in which they must close at $1 or better.
It's on the NASDAQ website.

They could have waited until the 15th to file but they filed anyway.
Wasn't as bad as I was expecting either.

The deficiency was obvious and with the announcement
of their financials they were compelled by common sense
to address the issue.
That, at least , is a step forward.
