Bill,

Okay, when I find spam, I look at:

1) Who is doing the spamming? Look at his/her profile and see where else they're posting. What's the motive behind the spam? Read a few of their prior posts and see if they're actively contributing to the thread or just cheerleading.

2) What threads are being spammed on? Is the content of the spammed post in any obvious way related to the thread? If not, what is the spammer's motive?

3) Who is s/he spamming to? Is it random, like to the last prior poster on the thread or is the spammer targeting a particular audience such as female aliases or obvious newcomers? If a particular group is being targeted, what is the spammer's motive?

Bill,

Okay.

Good points: good current customer list, company in existence since 1984, nice one year growth rate.

Bad points: CEO owns over 70% of the company; recent IPO with high volatility probably due to 'flipping' on the IPO, and cash reserves are insufficient should current revenue streams dry up.

Overall, a high risk investment, but a good one to watch. I'd wager that I can buy in on this one at a much lower price 6 months from now.
