New to the thread... haven't gone back to read the 12000 + posts yet.. I have a large holding in DELL. Can any of the short term players tell me how you might play the earnings due to be reported on August 18th? Is it buy on rumor, sell on fact for the standard run-up. DELL got a GTW/Greenspan hangover the last week and has been fairly volatile especially on Friday (day range from 100 -108)landed in the middle at 104 and change. This stock represents a large part of my portfolio. I am generally a LONG in an IRA so I can't trade options. I am looking to learn short term stratagies from the experts on this thread and other sources. Craig

Just got the Online Investor in the mail. They did an excellent job, very sharp photos, excellent, succinct writing style. I'll scan it and put in on the thread tonight and as a link on the market gems web site as well.
