Alan, I'm not aware of any service that will specify the difference in MM's but you will pick up on it over time. SBSH is Smith Barney, Dean is Dean Witter etc. and you know them as firms with retail brokers thus they can be buying for themselves or others. The wholesalers are simply those firms that you and I can't call up and ask for a broker because they don't have a retail force. I don't know all the MM's but if you ever have a question on one I'll do my best to find out if I'm not positive of the answer myself.
