No idea, though the company puts a positive spin on the environmental situation in the annual report. Where did you see the articles? Tom

In Sydney a few weeks ago, I noted an article in a local paper, the Sun-Herald, entitled "Shale oil plan moves step nearer", about our favorite project. Environmental aspects were part of the coverage: "A report on threats [posed by the project] to the [Great Barrier] reef area is being prepared for the World Heritage Committee's next annual meeting in December by the Australian arm of the World Conservation Union." The article also referred to oil production from shale as the "most polluting of all fossil fuels" and therefore an issue with respect to Australia's international greenhouse obligations. The article was otherwise positive - reporting on construction progress, Queensland Government financial support etc. - but the environmental issues are clearly significant.
