"Emile, everyone who is extremely religious is selfish in a way, because they need to be
validated by their particular belief system, and constantly reassured that it is the real
truth. I have no problem in asserting that the Bible is historically inaccurate and not the
word of God. Can you produce the eyewitnesses who would dispute that? The Gospels
were written some time after Jesus' life, not contemporaneously."

Purely opinion and hearsay! Do you know why you keep coming back
with only opinions and hearsay evidence to contradict the historically
accurate eyewitness accounts in the bible? Because the accouts are
in the bible are true and there are no contradctory eyewitness historical
acounts. All the liberal scolar do, like yourself, is mouth opinion
and hearsay to shielf their lack of historically significant documents.

The historical records in the New TEst. are true and the validate
our Christian faith that is dynamic and alive.

"Here, for example, is a story about the archaeological evidence of the Masada, which
contradicts Josephus' account. If you are going to say the Bible is the word of God, then
it must ALL be that way--you cannot make exceptions. Either it is, or it is not."

This story has absolutely nothing to do with the New Testament!
Do you understand that, or do you actually think Masada and Josephus
have something to do with the bible.

You are grasping at straws.

"I am very sure that Mary was no virgin--the virgin story is allegorical, and comes from
the Egyptian myth of Isis and Osiris. I am sure that she loved her son, but we cannot go
back in time and see things as they were then. "

Again, opinion and hearsay. I have given concrete contemporary
historical documents from the New Testament taht record the eyewitness
accounts of the stories about Jesus' life, Crucifixion and Resurrection.
St. Luke intervied Mary personally about the virginity of Christ's
birth. St. Joseph also gave his story about an angel verifying
Mary's story. Furthermore, it fulfills the Old Test. prophecy that
a virgin would conceive and bare a son.

The historical records in the New Test. are solid as rock when
it comes to their historicity.
