I cannot speak for Tom or anyone else but in my case, I find trading futures to be far more Risk/Reward than conventional equities or options.

My experience is based on trading full time for over 7 years, part time for about 13 prior to that.

I do own stocks that I have purchased in years gone by that continue to do well. But I earn my living trading futures.

If you wish to speculate from the standpoint of positional trading on futures then Tom is one of the best to post the question to.

Vol,

I haven't traded futures for real yet, but one thing to consider in determining potential profit and losses is taxes. I posted this last week and it might interest you.
