Sources close to the Korean say it will be a matter of months, 3 to 6, before they will be in the .25 to .18um range; transferred to their US sights. Their competitive edge could be the consistency of probe yield >80% (mu around 70%) and the probe-to ship > 92%. They may have a larger die but actually send more "to market" than ANY American company. They have smelled the blood in the water and if things do not change soon the feeding will begin.

It is funny. 5-10 years ago MU showed the world how to manufacturer DRAMs, and the world learned. MU has forgotten some of the basics. It is not too late but the clock is ticking.
