So, pls explain how do you come to the conclusion that
Microsoft's growth rat has slowed down considerably !!!

This is the data I got:

Thompson Investor Network:

eps
1994 .49
1995 .62
1996 .92
1997 1.43

These are for financial years. From First Call I have this for calendar years (I think?)

Last year (actual) 1.78
This year (forecast) 2.15
Next year (forecast) 2.62

I know there is a gap here (maybe someone can fill this in) but these are the growth rates:

1994-5 26.5%
1995-6 48.4%
1996-7 55.4%

Last-this 20.7%
This next 21.8%

If we also use your data (not eps but good enough) for 6/30/97 to 6/30/98 we have:

27.4%

3/31/97-3/31/98

29.2%

Putting these recent actuals together with the forecasts (and MSFT is normally very close to the consensus) we can see a very marked and continuing growth slow down from the very rapid growth of 95-6 and 96-7.
