???? Tulvio, I'm confused. Are you making the case that AT&T/BT feel more comfortable turning to a PBX manufacturer for their data products than they are their proven data vendors? Why?

One point I would like to make is that these service providers do not want to be married to one vendor. If you look at both their data and voice networks you will find a variety of products - not just one.

When it comes to a vendor selling products - if they are not home grown then support will be difficult at best. I'm not sure what products at CSCO you're referring to as being OEM'd..but I'm unaware of any such products. LU on the other hand is just learning about data (as CSCO is just learning about voice). So, again I'm unclear as to your position....Why in the heck would AT&T/BT decide that LU or CSCO or anyone for that matter should be a sole supplier? CSCO and ASND are as incumbent as LU is - just in a different side of the network. Do you have any idea what it would take to replace unamorotized data infrastructure with new product - let alone lost market share while they go through this effort. I suspect it'll be much easier to leverage and grow what is there today.
