jim, limtex, gregg: thanks for reminding me about b-cdma's place in the wireless world. plumb forgot that it was designed for fixed wireless, and didn't realize that royalty payments to the Q would be of the insignificant variety. also didn't know that it was barely out of the lab; press release seemed to imply that it was coming to a neighborhood store near you in the next 5 minutes (but I guess that's what PRs are supposed to do).
the fixed wireless world seems to be centered on the likes of Teligent and Winstar, neither of which employs spread spectrum to my knowledge so it makes sense that this b-cdma would be a very trivial piece of the pie. thanks again. mike doyle

I had forgotten about the Phillips license. Is that non-transferable? Or is that a door ERICY etc. could slither through?
