Jim S,
The candidacy of Ross Perot split the conservative vote thus allowing BC to "steal" the election with a minority of the vote. BC and Perot were having secret meeting in Dallas for the sole purpose of getting Clinton elected. The story is that BC went to Dallas for his little affair with Jennifer Flowers, but also used the occasion to have a canpaign meeting with Perot. After Clinton was in power and the health care bill passed, Perot was "guaranteed" millions in business for his firms.

An article was posted on this thread regarding this relationship.
