Pat, I'm stunned!!!!! I can't believe CPQ's dishing this bunk out. IDC and Dataquest have been doing it this way for a long time, and now, all of the sudden, it's not fair!!!!!!!!!

I hope they get thrashed by the Street for this BS!!!!!

AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Hmmm....

Let's see the want to count the excess sales into the channel from the previous quarter with the sales from the factory to the channel this quarter. This quarter factory shipments are off by 21%.

I thought they got credit for those channel sales last quarter.
They want to count it two different ways. <gggg>

They are just too sensitive.

Par, CPQ is like the Auto companies shipping cars to their rental units so they can claim number one position.

CPQ protests IDC data

Pat,

This isn't the first time. I believe it was last summer or last fall that IDC data came out showing DELL had overtaken CPQ in a particular area. CPQ protested, demanded a recount, and there they were, First Again. CPQ counting the inventory in channel resembles some of our Texas politicians counting the graveyard vote. <vbg>
