Curiousity question. I have noticed the last few sessions that the AMEX has had the worst A/D ratio of all the indexes. Even today it was 4-1 while the others seemed to improve on the surface. Any ideas as to the why of this? Seems strange to me and it might mean something.

I downloaded the info into excel - and sorted it by the new lows amount. I found that there were a new lows of 700-ish or more in march of 80, sep of 81 and March of 94. We havent gotten to that stage yet. (see the current.html below) Both 1994 and 1990 seemed to have periods of worse looking nh/nl lines:

decisionpoint.com
decisionpoint.com

So, it may be that this is simply a time frame where we will experience a weaker market, or this may be the precursor to something worse.
