Good morning Rudedog I agree with your points. The critical measure is the rate at which computers find their way to the end consumer. I think critics on this thread have pointed out that Compaq did not complain about this method when it was stuffing the channel and consequently sales were overestimated. Nevertheless, I think it is clear that Dell is rapidly closing the gap. As you know, I had originally calculated five years to accomplish catching Compaq. I am now estimating that it is closer to three years, but will get a better fix when we see Dell's second quarter numbers. TTFN, CTC
