LG; I just recalled your post, RE>
James: Indices, rolling over back to the downside at the close today. I expect downside movement at the open on Wed. There has been a lot of downside action over the last few days. MM have got to be holding a lot of shares. May be time for them to make a move up, sometime tomorrow and start distributing those shares! <<
While I think they opened up, your post had the MM, and Specialist
pegged to the tee..and when I did exit WED it was not because
of this post, but that down tick with the indexes going up.
However it all fits ! your insight that they were holding shares
and that would somehow cause a move up so they could distribute
seems uncanny, but also very correct ! and in front of mine.

I still haven't figured out to my satisfaction how if they
are distributing, ( and most trades are going on the down tick)
but the prices are actually up..just how they are pulling this
trick off. All I know is a rally on a down tick says get out of
the way something is not kosher.
I feel I "almost" have my finger on how they do this, sort of like
when you "KNOW a name but can't recall it" but it's on the tip
of your tongue.
Dammit how do they do this ? and why does that "down tick show
up on the rally"..do they just artificially jack up the bids and ask,
then distribute to any one that puts in a limit, while shorting
to the market orders ?
