options/shorting

>>you might be paying higher commissions
on those trades<<

options: $14.95 + $1.75/contract
what brokerage is cheaper and with equivalent or better service?

shorts: does Web Street charge extra for shorting?
If someone shorts 1000 shares of a Nasdaq stock trading at $15, isn't the trade free?

Also, how big is their short list? Will they allow you to short
stocks trading under $5 ?

I would like to hear experiences about shorting and trading options
through web street.

I'm looking for a brokerage with a big short list and cheap
options.

Regards,
S.W.
