ATTENTION WALL STREET if you don't realize WSTL value went up today...BEL/GTE control 1/3 local market in the USA and WSTL does business with both...MZ told you anal-lyst yesterday yet you refuse to put any table pounding spin on WSTL...Orctf did a ALA with GTE, you know low price big promises and small-time deliver...I guess Orctf also forgot to include that big legal bill in their bid price for GTE business because TXN/AMTX is ready to start patent trouble for Orctf...I'm sure GTE is very happy about that... maybe if Orctf just doesn't deliver they can avoid a TXN lawsuit...BEL is very pleased with WSTL-CAP, things are actually well AHEAD of schedule....MZ was trying to tell anal-lyst on CC that BEL ISDN REWARDS would uptick BEL take rate substantially but these anal-lyst want a (bluehorse shoe likes WSTL) the day before it rockets...Lu 5ess kit order, mfg at dovatron in NY with ADI chip-intial 5000 units...My take on BEL/GTE deal is BEL-CAP is very safe for large volume for all of 1999 since this deal will probably shelf the BEL DMT rfp for another six months...When BEL has a very successful ADSL launch and if Orctf problems continue ,this could be a no brainer for WSTL business...Isn't funny how these non-usa telco vendors promise so much for so little and all have problems delivering, the JPC & GTE should have known better,WSTL did! Also add GTE for added reason ALA needs to TRY to buy WSTL...WSTL has 90mill in revenue in 12 months with market cap of 300mill and would have been profitable without R&D for DSL products and will start of deployment in 30 days...maybe revenues have to exceed marketcap for our ADSL Mcfly anal-lyst???

kevin--

actually, we dont know much about GTEs deployment. they said it would be something like 180 COs by EOY, but no word on availablity or how many have been deployed now.

for my money...i think it folds over to WSTL. the reason is simple...BEL has more deployable lines than GTE and seem to happy with the WSTL equipment so far.

good luck to all,
trey
