TD: I was reading the most recent Barron's in the LAX airport on my way home Sunday. The range of opinions there was from that TA guy who thinks the Dow will parallel the Nikkei of about a decade ago. To him that means a Dow of maybe 20k by 2003-5 and 11k by 2000 to the guy from Bear Stearn (I think) who thinks this correction may go 30% or so over the next few quarters. That's some range of opinion. You say 8k isn't out of the question near term, long term (next two years) you are not anticipating anything more serious? I ran into an accupuncturist from Dallas at a symposium in LA last weekend. He couldn't overemphasize how bad the heat is, with lots more in store. Hope you're staying comfortable. Les
