Hi Elmo:

You may be right.

<<I think I was looking for a possible explanation for the decline in price. But, after more than two years, I believe that discovering a direct correlation between Novell's price movement and any earthly event is highly unlikely.>>

However, while the nasdaq has been very week the past 8+ trading sessions (down ~8%), the enterprise scale software stocks have been sagging heavily, with bombs from some (e.g. CA, PMTC). For example, take a look at onces such as CA, PSFT, BMCS, NETA, CATP and PMTC. Selling in NOVL has been quiet and on lower than average volume, not something alarming, however when it causes the stock price to retreat 1 3/4+ bucks (~14%) in about 8 trading sessions, it does cause some concern.

Curious of your's and others thoughts on this weakness. I wouldn't have expected we see 11 1/4 again, even with market weakness, more like 12 - 12 1/4. Well, Mr. Market seems to want to show me who's still in charge...... =:o(

Regards,

QuadK

Hi Elmo,

Guess the decline started with the employee's selling their vested options against a weak market.. that keeps getting weaker as we speak.. So we end up with the usual requirements: good earnings and a firm rock solid release date to keep us going or else..

Come to think about it I should have followed your advice and sold August 10 calls when you told me.. oh well..credit to you and hopes that better days are around the corner..

Regards

Victor
