Limtex,

I doubt that it is OEM sales. Who knows really. Presumably people buy product via retail channels or from electronics websites where you can save a couple bucks. That must add up after a while.

People keep commenting on sales reflecting higher margin PCMCIA cards and other flash products, but my understanding is that CF sales surpassed these items earlier in the year. At least I recall reading it somewhere.

By the way, I tried out the new Epson PhotoPC 700 which can produce digital (.mpg) files in high resolution mode in the range of 350 KB and the processing is down to about 4 seconds. My PhotoPC 600 created (high resolution) 120 KB files in 12 seconds. Thus, processing speed has increased 12 fold between generations. I think the issue of CF card write times is blown out of proportion. The on-board processor and embedded software seem to be most essential.

Hope things look brighter the rest of the year for those of us who continue to have faith in SNDK.
