Bob:

Any discussion of the rapture, is usually: (1) is there a rapture; and (2) if there is, when will it be? I believe that Shalom takes the position that there will be no rapture. I believe the verses I quoted and the position you appear to take, suggest that, as you stated, the rapture will be "After the tribulation but before God's wrath." This position actually addresses some of Shalom's concerns, the primary of which being, as I understand his position, that the doctrine of the PRETRIBULATION Rapture opens Christians up for a deception when there is no rapture prior to the appearance of the anti-Christ and they do not, therefore, recognize the anti-Christ since they never expected to be here when he appeared. If one believes that the rapture will be "After the tribulation but before God's wrath" then one believes that Christians will be here when the anti-Christ appears and so the wise will be prepared for his appearance and will not be deceived by the mistaken belief that they will be raptured prior to his appearance.

In Christ, Tom
