OT:

Does anyone here base their investment descisions on a whisper number? Where does this number come from, does it have any credibility?

Jim: if Dell projects that operations for this quarter will come below expectation, management would have issued earnings warning. On the contrary, management has been upbeat: internet sales at the tune of $ 6MM/day, European sales having a field day, inventory is being reduced from 7 days (just amazing). Only two more days left in the quarter and have you seen any negative news? Nope.

The only things that will hold down Dell's stock are political climate and general downturn of the market (Asian problems). Otherwise, dell goes marching on.

Good Luck to All
