Stitch,
"Any serious gamer will not play from the CD (too
slow). They ant to put the whole thing on the hard drive. I, on the other hand, want to
put "Clair De Lune" on my hard drive as played by he incomparable Julian Bream &
John Williams, which is what happens to be playing now. File size: 4.8GB at a 21:1
compression ratio over the normal .wav stream."
Thanks for relaying that, I didn't know the file would be quite so large.

I agree with your last assessment: "But I am absolutely convinced that patience is the name of the game. I am equally convinced that this whole downturn will, in hindsight, be regarded as an incomparable opportunity."
The problem is, will I survive until then? Or will have I pewked up my insides beforehand?

RE: patience, hindsight, and opportunities. Stitch, I agree completely with your analysis of the basics of investing.

However, in the meantime, could you suggest a few stocks that I can pick up tomorrow that I can also dump by tomorrow afternoon for a 100% gain?

(I need something to make up for the losses I am taking in the current downturn)

Regards, and best wishes,

Larry

PS: Seriously, I enjoy your posts (but I'm not so sure about "Clair De Lune." I usually go for something a little faster/louder/whatever).

PPS: I also agree that a paperback (or hardback) is much nicer than reading something from a computer screen.

Stitch,
Lord knows, I hate to disagree with you. Why should I use any of my desktop storage space for music playlists?
silverisland.com
This site is not ready yet, sound blows (The Guess Who sound like Mickey and Minnie in duet. Can you imagine Tchaikovsky's Symphony #6 "Pathetique" on this site? The horror!), artists are not to my tastes (What is a 4 non blonde?) but all the music is stored elsewhere and bandwidth will improve.
Still listening to music, taking and sending pictures, current on all popular software, PC/TVing, communicating, spreadsheeting, downloading on 2.1 Gigs. 985 Mb left.

It is gonna be a long wait (Love your playlist though),

Yogi
