Dieter:

<<The market is still a gamble, even though the odds are better than the power ball.>>

That's for sure! I tried to play the previous record powerball pot to no avail (am I surprised?..ggg), and am now wondering in hindsight if I should had sold some NOVL in the mid-13's and used the gains for the current $250 mil+ game -- naah, but a vacation would have been nice. Well, I still have followed the "buy dirt cheap" philosophy, although those averaging up into the 12.5+ range may be scratching their heads too. Hopefully this Martin Biggs "secular bear call", Asian clouds, weakening earnings front, and Lewinsky immunity deal won't cause a more severe selloff in the markets. But one never knows, this thing could slowly grind out for another 2-3 months.

Making money on Wall Street searching for undervalued, turnaround stocks is a tough process, I agree. But the gamble is reduced when one is patient and has done due diligence before picking the bottom. The question for Novell is how much further this set-back will go before Novell regains upward momentum. I think us bulls all hope that the wait will be just around 2-3 weeks. Nonetheless, I remain humbly long. Fundamentals are still strongly intact.
