FYI....re Matrox cards

Anand does a nice roundup of the various cards, and explains the differences in all the Matrox cards.

anandtech.com. for the main page, and

anandtech.com

for the video comparisons (SI is not showing the complete URL.. just click on it, it works)

Hope it helps...

Actually the system has not crashed at all and the only problem I have is the lines floating through the screens. The lines are really no big deal and if you don't watch them you pretty much forget they are there. Setup was fairly easy but I ran into the same problem as Zeuspaul did and had to disable one card to load the new drivers. I was a little bummed when I found out that I could not make the g200 in the APG slot my primary card. I just put this system together yesterday and have not compared the two cards much, I paid $125 for the g200 and $95 for the millennium II each with 8 mb, they both work nice. One of my monitors is about two years old and the newer one looks much better no matter which card is running it. I have the graphics acceleration in the windows control panel at 3/4 because I did not want any problems today while trading, I will turn it up later. One thing I don't like is the fact that you cannot use the Matrox display properties in the Matrox power desk with the muti-monitor setup you must use the display properties in Windows.
