Main article on ZD Net AnchorDesk today talks about embedded systems and the market. Don't Look Now -- But Smart Gizmos Are Taking Over Your Life zdnet.com The article has lots of links to interesting embedded market "affected" industries. It makes the connection from cable modem and home networking of appliances to WEB phones and other emerging industries. It linked me to this site of IDC Research that seems to imply that Microsoft may gain control of the market if they are successful with WinCE. What bothers me is that there are no mention of already established players like WIND, INTS etc. Seems everyone speculates the embedded market is going to go boom but most people only have Microsoft on their radars! idcresearch.com I also find it strange that Yahoo's Embedded Systems page DOES NOT contain a link to WIND but has links to it's competitions?!! yahoo.com Hopefully, articles like these help bring the embedded market more to the public eye even if it doesn't mention WIND. Comments? Here's to more WIND in our sails!! -z-
