I think she was the only party switcher that went from Repub. to Dem. since '92 when Clinton/Gore took office. It is significant that almost 400 Dems have switched sides since that time. For example in Georgia, we had the leader of the Dem party switch. Personally, I hope the Dem party becomes an insignificant political factor. Due to Clinton's indiscretions, this is becoming more of a possibility. In place of the Dems, the Libertarians would become a more viable national force. We still need a two party system of some sort, but the socialists should not "own" a party as they do now with the Democrats.

Please. Patacki will win a record % of the vote in November and the Democrat looks to come in 3rd! Why? Because Lt Guv Ross is running as a "Liberal".
