Oddly enough, E*Trade has been excellent in finding shares. They must have got some kind of religion; they were the absolute worst before.

Barb, those days never existed. For me, at least. I've encountered numerous issues that I couldn't short at Datek, even some which others were shorting, apparently easily, at other brokerages. I got EASTE this morning at Datek, by the way.
