I would have to agree..that it's a function of the browser we use...I have Netscape communicator and I don't get the ads flashing across SI but do other sites I visit..and I rather like not having the distraction...but am glad that there are some who are viewing IT's banner .....however..let me add that after reading Kevin's post it could very well be a funcion of SI's formatting ..which actually makes more sense..they probably would get a lot of complaints if people felt that they were being distracted
