Paul,
RE:"AMD said their internal targets were for the sale of 3.2 to 3.7
million K6's and K6-2's this quarter."

You don't suppose that AMD is playing opossum do you? <G>
My sources tell me that AMD is producing at a rate much GREATER than 3.2-3.7 million chips/qtr. I mean A LOT more. Even with HP on board I feel they need another tier one (like Gateway) to assure that these chips get sold. 333s are here and higher speed grades are being produced as well...I wonder who will get them first?
On August 24th Intel will release the Celeron II-300 and 333 but AMD
might just spoil the party with the official release of the K6-2-350
a day before that...
Your (Maxwells) est. of 1.5 million chips sold this month wouldn't be a problem based on production.
Also, if AMD doesn't show a proft this quarter it likely will be more the fault of Dresden than the K6 which will likely show a nice profit.

All the best, Jim
