Scarecow:

You have done a great job of researching the predictive ability and behavior pattern of Tokyomex. You are hereby granted honorary doctorate of Timbuctoo University and two and half acres of land in my kingdom.

In the meanwhile, do you have an opinion on Cmg? I find Mex to be articulate and has stated his position clearly. He is not God, he is allowed to be wrong from time to time.

I have to admit a test of my recent theory, found absurd by you, has come upon us much sooner than I expected.

You say:

<<Yet, when Clinton agrees to testify, the stock goes UP 3 points? How do
your "sources" figure?? Disproves the idea that ZipperGate is pushing it
down - despite your claims.>>

Well, yes and no. But today's rally doesn't hurt my theory and current circumstances have set up a test of my theory. Now that Clinton has agreed to testify Aug 17 we are in the midst of very serious business (if Clinton keeps the appointment). The Clinton Presidency is at stake. If powers represented by Greenspan (which includes many wealthy Republicans, even fairly right wing ones, because they love the economy) want Clinton to survive they will pull no punches. They realize that, among other things, a continued good economy and rising stock market will help sentiment for Clinton or dampen any sentiment against him and also maximize chances for more Democrats getting elected in November thus improving Clinton's chances in any House or Congressional hearings or political manuevering. If my theory is correct it means that today had to be the start of a rally that will, by and large, have to carry through the November elections.

Interestingly, if the theory turns out to be correct (or at least if the market behaves as the theory predicts), the timing couldn't be better for CMGI since the market should be building steam as we approach the Geocities IPO.

What a great post. I have been short and currently long on CMGI. Everyone must ultimately make their own decisions on their investments. I find the mindless cheerleading just as offensive as the put downs.
