Anyone seen my old pal Greenpeace lately? I sorta miss the sparring.

Perhaps he's "sitting back and examining" the recent developments and doesn't like what he sees.

PS Betty: it was the CPQ thread where we crossed swords last December. I was short about the time it split. I made a few cents - nothing worth bragging about.

I think you're right, betty ann. I think Clinton is in serious trouble. The phone tapes and the dress will likely proved what happened. The legal implications are secondary to the disgrace he has brought onto himself. The walls are caving in. His stomach must be in knots.

He is getting that Nixonian, 'I am not a crook' look.

And the numbers of rats remaining on the ship seems to be diminishing.

Which brings up an interesting point...

If things go badly for the Leader of the Free World, I have to wonder when and whether Hillary will do a cut-my-losses thing at some point. She has to be speculating at the eventual outcomes of all these investigations and she doesn't really strike me as the Stand-By-Your-Man type regardless of the current spin. I mean deep down isn't she a fairly astute political fighter ?

How does the process resolve itself. When will Starr reach a point that stops the investigation and converts to reporting to the House ? With all the recent new testimony many new aspects may have recently revealed themselves. Whole new vistas for Starr to pursue.

I'm rusty on my Watergate memories. Is it first presented to the Judiciary committee ? and will it be publicized ? When do we all get to pour over the details. That will certainly be a high watermark day on the net.
