laura, hispeed....

why are the leaps
NOT a good buy now...
i did quite well on jan2000
a few months ago.
i bought them
just prior ( on a thursday)
to the first full week of viagra
introduction. i dont remember my cost
but i do recall a comfortable 12 point gain
at the point i sold...maybe a month later.

i am wondering why they now seem sluggish...

It looks like PFE bounced off its 50 day SMA today (which is good to see this support level holding); however, it was done on low volume which makes one want to see a follow through rally on Friday. Personally I jumped into SGP but PFE sure looks like a buy at this level. Do your own research and use your own judgement. IMO the stock is a buy under 110 and a strong buy at about 100. The earnings have been very impressive! But since the stock has been in a trading range for a while now the LEAPS maybe getting a bit cheaper (less time premium). Once PFE ramps through the low 120s on high volume maybe the best time to go long (breakout from congestion). Who knows how long it could be locked in this 105-120 trading range...JMHO
