Patrick,

That was an interesting story. Sometimes
windfalls of cash can be a bad thing. I
had a friend in college who everyone liked.
Out of the blue, his dad died. He was a
big time producer of television in Los
Angeles and worth the corresponding millions.
All the kids got their share. "George" as
I'll call him, dropped out of school and
started drinking. Even though he had millions
in his checking account, the guy could not
even keep it together to rent an apartment.
Everyone just let him sleep on their couch.
The last time I saw George, he was drunk in
a bar. He could hardly remember me...or
anything of those college days. I think he
is dead now. One advantage of being a wage
slave is that you do remain focused.
