Looks like you missed it! Sorry! Basic headline is: Owners go into serious debt to keep teams competitive and attempt to create new revenue streams from new facilities, but in every sport there are franchises that have amassed ridiculous amounts of debt that cannot be countered by the relatively meager revenues from new venues, which average only about 10-million in additional income.

But...the reason no one seems worried about the debt is the history of franchise appreciation, which only seems to be going up.

I don't think the piece will air again, but I'll be doing some follow ups in the near future.

By the way, one former owner told me the two happiest days in his life were the day he bought the team and the day he sold it.
