Are you kidding? Cyrix fell and can't get up long before the Celery. Kind of hard to make money selling a chip for $75 that's made on .35u made by IBM and have a $1 left over for profit.

Jim, you are quite correct. NSM's fate was sealed the day they decided to challenge Intel. It also didn't help that they joined the x86 fray without a business plan, as you noted above.

If Cyrix rises again it will be the equal to the "flight of the Phoenix". If you haven't seen the movie, rent it. Stars Jimmy stewart.

I'll check it out. It sounds like a black & white classic.
