Kemble,
Agree 100%. Every once in a while I get a chance to browse through this thread to see what people are saying about my favorite stock. When I scan through the captions and see people talking about shorting I just laugh and think OK buddy might as well hand over your wallet so I can throw it on the pile of cash Dell has vacuumed out of the shorts over the years. How many people have come on this thread with all kinds of rational reasons to short Dell and are long gone? It's always somebody new that's going to make a killing going short Dell. It has to be that way because anybody that's been around knows you DON'T SHORT DELL GOING INTO EARNINGS no matter what the market is doing or what your analysis is telling you.
Everybody and their brother KNOWS DELL is going to beat the est. and announce a stock split. The momentum players are going to continue to squeeze the shorts and ramp this baby all the way into earnings. After earnings and 2:1 split is announced instead of the sell off that occurred after the last report, DELL will go parabolic for a couple of weeks before it consolidates probably in the $140 range.

I said most of the above a couple of months ago, but since INTC, MSFT, CPQ and the rest of the PC sector is getting upgrades and looking much stronger now I'm more confident than ever. I view DELL as a jet powered by two engines MSFT and INTC. As long as both engines are lit Dell will fly. Right now we've got both engines lit and with 12 trading days before earnings the afterburners just came on.
Right now I'm using additional margin created by gains in Dell to buy more Dell. We'll know in a couple of weeks if history will once again repeat itself....
Regards,
Lee
