Sam,

I saw that article ref: Solectron. They have a large factory here in Malaysia and I have had occasion to visit them once in a while. It is a good group of folks.

Best,
Stitch

It seems like we've seen the share price of Seagate and Quantum widen again. Have I missed something that should indicate SEG is making the right moves while Quantum is not?

Is there a shifting opinion that SEG will now do better if Al leaves?

I spoke to Janet Baker this week and couldn't resist asking her what Al's departure from SEG had to do with Dragon and she was naturally not giving much but she did say that Stephen Luczo has been on their board and they don't see any change in commitment. If Dragon were a public company, this 25% they hold in Dragon would be worth quite a bit.

Is it possible that buy out rumors are getting stronger for SEG and Sony? Or perhaps a break up of businesses?

Regards,

Mark

PS So, who's buying the Maxtor IPO?
