djane, i have been holding asnd from 52->23, and back. I have not
let go nor will i sell. I tend to ignore such rumors. Ascend has an
agreement with HP for their SS7 stuff. I don't think mory is brain-dead. He could do some focussed small aquistions. this one does
not make any sense. I wonder as OCT comes nearer why why are rumors
being floated (AFCI now Stratus)??. Something to think about?.

Hey someone is picking up Ascend for sure...

My 2 cents on SRA

I admit at first I couldnt see the SRA deal and thought this would throw LU out the window. But once I got past the emotional part and got to thinking about the big picture I thought hey, ASND mgmnt are not morons. They are not looking to throw money away on a company that has little contribution to ASND. Remember, they are the ones that put CSCC and ASND together to make it THE premier WAN manufacturer.

So lets have a vote of confidence in the ones that brought ya to the dance and have an open mind about this instead of knee jerk reactions. You'll have a much better day if you are TRULY a long.

Pete :o)

djane, I have to disagree with you here. I'd guess LU knows plenty about 100% availability, and SS7. These things are central to circuit switching phone systems. This just presents more baggage; along with all the other product overlap.
